Gemtech Introduces the Integra 15-22 Suppressed 22LR Upper

The only thing that makes plinking with .22LR more fun is the addition of one of two things – full-auto or a suppressor. The people over at Gemtech probably agree which is why they are excitedly announcing the release of Integra 15-22 Suppressed upper for the M&P 15-22 rifle.

Ultimate sound suppression for the M&P15-22 platform is now possible with the new Gemtech® Integra 15-22. We have expanded the Integra line and created an experience you have to try to believe. The platform uses our whisper quiet G-core technology found in the MIST and brings it to the M&P15-22. The new Gemtech® Integra 15-22 transforms any Smith & Wesson® M&P®15-22 into an integrally suppressed plinker. It will impress everyone at the range by how it looks and sounds.

The Integra 15-22 upper contains everything you’ll need in order to take your M&P 15-22 rifle (or pistol) from a great plinker to a super quiet soda can eliminator. The suppressed upper comes complete with both a charging handle and bolt carrier assembly so that you won’t have to steal the parts from your original 15-22 to populate the Integra upper.

The Integra retails for what I would consider an insanely competitive price at $616.00. Although that might as well be $816 as you’ll need to file a form 4 transfer with the ATF in order to acquire one of these uppers. That being said, I still think that having a dedicated suppressed upper for a dedicated .22LR rifle is a smart idea. Personally, I’ll be adding this one to next year’s wish list. What are your thoughts on the introduction of the Integra 15-22 suppressed upper?
