Rival Arms R-22 Billet Aluminum 10/22 Chassis
Further increasing the modularity and adaptability of the Ruger 10/22 platform, Rival Arms of Dallas Texas has recently unveiled their new Billet Aluminum R-22 chassis. The R-22 promises to take your standard 10/22 rifle and turn it into a serious “precision plinking machine.” This goes along with their recent release of the R-700 chassis for the Remmington 700 series of rifles.

The Rival Arms R-22 Precision Chassis System takes your standard Ruger® 10/22® style rimfire rifle and turns it into a serious precision plinking machine. CNC-machined from billet aluminum designed to accept most Ruger® 10/22® receivers without any modification for a true drop-in fit. Standard AR-15 stock and pistol grip compatibility allows the user to customize the fit and feel of their rifle. The integration of the M-LOK® accessory mounting system brings versatility to the system that will take your favorite rimfire rifle to the next level.
The R-22 Chassis system can accommodate up to a 1″ diameter barrel, features a scalloped forend texture, and weighs in at only 16 ounces. In addition, the chassis system will accept most AR-15 pistol grips and makes accommodation for a 1-3/16″-16 Mil-Spec buffer tube so that all types of stocks can be used based on your preference. The R-22 also includes 11 total M-LOK slots for the mounting of various accessories but I absolutely love that they’ve also chosen to include a tapped sling swivel stud mount so that a sling can still be used.
The R-22 Chassis System is available now from the Rival Arms website and is compatible with most Ruger 10/22 style receivers. The chassis is available in three colors: Anodized Matte Black, KG Gun Kote FDE, and KG Gun Kote Satin Grey. The chassis is available for $254.99 and is at the time of writing in stock.
