POTD: U.S. Military Training with Djiboutian Soldiers

For years we at TFB have been running our Photo Of The Day. It’s not a photo competition, it’s all about finding and sharing excellent pictures and giving the photographer credit for his or her great work. Today we visit Djibouti City in – you guessed it – Djibouti. We’re looking at Djiboutian soldiers with the Rapid Intervention Battalion (RIB), a Djiboutian army elite military force as they practice tactical reloading with their AKs.

    Training hand-to-hand combat.

U.S. Army Soldiers with the 1st Battalion, 181st Infantry Regiment (1-181 In), Charlie Company, Massachusetts Army National Guard, assigned to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), teach Close Quarters Battle (CQB) tactics to the Rapid Intervention Battalion (RIB), a Djiboutian army elite military force, near Djibouti City, Djibouti, June 26, 2019. CJTF-HOA service members teach proper weapons handling and tactics to the RIB to enhance security and stability in East Africa.
