If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only have Fudd appeal?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

The Charter Arms Undercover 5-shot .38 Special revolver, Cerakoted with an attractive Red, White, and Blue finish.  This one-of-a-kind customized package includes the revolver, a custom Buck 110 knife, and a custom holster, all in Red, White, and Blue.  This revolver appears to have been fired but is essentially as new.

While Charter Arms does make an “Old Glory” model, this model does vary slightly with grips and finish.  Interestingly enough, the factory gun costs $478.80 making this combo a bargain of sorts.

I have to say the revolver paired with a Buck Knife in the holster is rather funny.  A Buck folding knife is about the last thing I would expect anyone to use as a secondary weapon.  Still, I’m sure there are dozens of people out there that think this combination is superior.

So is the whole package all around over the top?  Absolutely.  Does that mean someone won’t buy it?  I guess we have yet to find out.  As always, it’s up to you the readers to decide here if it’s a Hot Gat or Fudd Crap.
