Aim Sports Inc. Releases New Galil ACE M-LOK Handguard

Aim Sports, purveyor of several rifle accessories, has just added a new product to its extensive line of aluminum handguards. The new release offers a visual and practical improvement to the popular IWI Galil ACE through a lean profile with M-LOK mounting slots.

Aim Sports .308 Galil Ace handguard

Aim Sports Inc. Releases New Galil ACE M-Lok Handguard – The handguard looks well integrated with the lines of the rifle and, without accessories, it offers a slimmer diameter than the original.

In the words of Aim Sports:

Our new design utilizes standard factory mounting points for easy bolt-on assembly, which means no alterations to your firearm. Precision CNC machined hard-anodized aluminum lightweight construction offers durable performance without adding much to the overall weight of your firearm. Designed to the unique lines of your Galil rifle, while still providing modern M-LOK mounting options.

While not explicitly mentioned in the product description, so far the company chose to offer the handguard only for the biggest Galil ACE model, chambered in 7.62 NATO. Likely in the future, we will see more models supported, including pistol length, as already offered by the direct competition.

What do the TFB readers think? Is this a worthwhile addition to the .308 Galil ACE? Or the OEM plastic rails, and relevant covers, say “rifle is fine”?
