New Primary Arms GLx 4-16×50 FFP Apollo Rifle Scope

    GLx 4-16x50

Glass can get expensive. Sometimes, a camera lens can cost more than the camera it’s going on. The same is true for rifle scopes. Luckily, we have companies like Primary Arms (who recently started shipping their prism scopes) to offer less expensive alternatives to get us in the game. If you’re looking for something to help with the long-distance relationship between you and your target but don’t want to drop over a thousand dollars, this announcement is for you. The Primary Arms GLx 4-16×50 FFP is the newest such relationship therapist and comes in with an MSRP of $699.99.

This scope is part of Primary Arms’ GLx line, which brings premium technology and materials into an approachable price range.

Specifically made for shooters slinging 6.5 Creedmore and .224 Valkyrie, the GLx 4-16×50 is meant to reach out. This is a first focal plane optic, meaning your reticle is placed in front of the magnification lens. This means your reticle will increase in size as your level of magnification increases. Speaking of reticles, the new GLx 4-16×50 uses the partially illuminated ACSS Apollo reticle, which will be familiar to users of other Primary Arms scopes.

The scope has a one-piece 6061-T6 aluminum body, a 30mm main tube, and weighs 23.5 ounces. Primary Arms opted to use fully multi-coated, low dispersion glass. Each click on the steel-on-steel turrets adjusts with a 1/10 MIL click value, and turrets have the ability to lock. The magnification ring fin is movable and replaceable. Overall, this looks like it could be a great option for those who want to get into the long range game, but don’t want to refinance their mortgage.
