Photo Of The Day: The 13ème régiment de dragons parachutistes, or the 13th Parachute Dragoon Regiment, is one of few regiments under the supervision of the French Army Special Forces Command. Their specialty is reconnaissance, exploration and gathering of intelligence, and their motto is Au-delà du possible (“Beyond the possible”).
In these pictures, there’s a TV team trying to document their actions, but it must be a bit difficult as the soldiers are hardly visible. I think there are two soldiers in this picture.
They did a good job in disguising the Heckler & Koch HK416F as well, and you can also see the EOTech sight with magnification, laser designator and weapon light. The second rifle may be a sniper rifle.
