Long-range shooting, an art mastered by only the most skilled marksmen. While shooting long distances, a spotter is typically needed by the shooter’s side to identify the shot placement on a target. This summer, Ultradyne has made it possible for you to BE YOUR OWN SPOTTER!

Introducing the new Apollo LR from Ultradyne –

The Apollo LR is designed to reduce the recoil and muzzle rise like no other product on the market. The serious long-range shooter can now concentrate on the shot placement and observe bullet impact with virtually no recoil or muzzle rise. Ultradyne’s V-PORT™ design not only eliminates muzzle rise but also keeps excess gas out of the shooter’s sight picture, making for an unmatched muzzle device. Available for a vast variety of long-range calibers, the Apollo LR is ready to spot your shot.

  • Magnum Calibers
  • Timing Nut for easy installation
  • 4 aggressive port design
  • 3.5” overall Fully CNC Machined in the USA

For a complete list of compatible calibers, you can go over to the Ultradyne website and check to see if the Apollo LR is compatible with your gun. I don’t have any personal experience with Ultradyne’s products but based on what I have seen from their customer reviews they make great products. Looks to me like they're over-compensating!

Muzzle brake, muzzle brake... Im searching the market for something much simpler. On a PRS course, I was advised to always remove barrel attachment for cleaning. However, all AR-15 muzzle breaks, flash hiders etc. require tools to do that.

So what I'm searching for is a simple barrel crown protector, which would however be screw-on-by-hand-without-tools, which would be absolutely concentric with the barrel and precise enough not to be detrimental to long-range accuracy at all, and which would be cheap enough that if it's face gets scratched (=protector), it could be replaced without tears.

But I guess plain simple precision and cost-efficient muzzle protector with good crown isn't tacticool enough. It's actually anti-tacticool. So forget I asked.
