SIG Sauer has published a press release announcing that the SIG AIR Reflex Sight, which was introduced at the beginning of the year, is now shipping. At an MSRP of $49.99, this is an affordable red dot sight designed for use with airguns only, particularly, with optics-ready SIG AIR airguns such as the SIG AIR M17 pellet pistol, and SIG ProForce M17 and M18 airsoft pistols.

SIG Sauer’s press release quotes Tom Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Commercial Sales of SIG Sauer Inc., who said: “The demand for carry-optics in the market amongst law enforcement and recreational shooters is strong, and with the introduction of a reflex sight for our SIG AIR product line, consumers will now have the ability to train in a variety of environments on carry-optics. The new SIG AIR Reflex Sight delivers rapid target acquisition for those training with several SIG AIR pistols and is designed to fit our future SIG AIR releases.”

The SIG AIR Reflex Sight is a non-magnified red dot sight with a 23mm window and a 3 MOA dot.  The manual brightness control button is located at the front of the sight allowing to select one of the six brightness levels. The sight is powered by one CR2032 battery and has an advertised battery life of 100 to 2000 hours on the highest and lowest brightness settings respectively. The windage and elevation are adjustable, both within a 40 MOA range. The housing of SIG AIR Reflex Sight is made of aluminum and the sight is shockproof and rainproof. The overall weight of this red dot is 1.41 oz (40 grams) and it has the following dimensions: length – 1.88″ (48mm), width – 1.53″ (39mm), height – .98″ (25mm). This sight comes with two mounting plates because as shown in the picture below, the mounting footprint is different for SIG AIR pellet and airsoft pistols.
