Scarab II and Mini Troodon – The New Automatic Knives From Microtech

    Microtech SCARAB 2

    Microtech SCARAB II

On 19th September Microtech Knives held a Grand Opening in their new facility in North Carolina. The opening was also broadcasted live on the Internet, and customers had the possibility to purchase products directly from the show. That was until everything crashed due to popular demand, and judging by the comments on social media it left quite a few disappointed.

In any case, Microtech launched at least one new knife called the Scarab II. The Scarab II is larger than their Combat Troodon, which is a fairly large knife to begin with.

The company also launched several custom Cerakote Ultratech knives.

From the invitation to Microtech’s Grand Opening:

Join us for our first-ever live event where you will be able to purchase directly from us during the show. Get ready for new production knife debuts as well as never before seen custom pieces from Marfione Custom Knives. Special guests include Anthony Marfione, TJ Marfione (Heretic Knives), Sean Marfione, Sebastijan Berenji (Borka Blades), Bastien Coves (Bastinelli Knives).

I am sure we’re going to see a ton of variations of the Scarab II in the near future.

Yesterday night – Tanto Tuesday – Microtech also launched the Troodon Mini T/E.
It has a California State legal blade length of 1.99”, and the overall is 5.45”.
