Harry’s Holsters has released a new holster for the competition scene – the Contender. The new holster is purported to be one of the most durable competition holsters available now and perfectly suited for USPSA and IDPA style competitors with many styles of competition pistols.
Harry’s Holsters Introduces New Contender Competition Holster
- Flared opening for easy reholstering
- Versatile mounting system that works with Safariland, Bladetech, Compatc, G Code and other common mounting systems
- Consistent and adjustable retention
- Excellent fit
- Compatible with Slide mounted optics (Carry Optics Divisions)
- USPSA Legal
- IDPA Legal
The Contender is consistent, intuitive and an all-around asset whether you’re in high-stakes competition, running practice drills or having fun on the range. Its low-cut design reduces draw time for specific techniques and features a beveled mouth to make reholstering a breeze. With adjustable retention, you can dial it in for a perfect fit and rest assured knowing The Contender will maintain its consistent retention over tens of thousands of draws. Plus, you can add the Turbo Prop for minor on-the-fly adjustments as needed.
Many of you who compete will know that especially for IDPA and USPSA retention is everything. Nothing hurts worse than going all day through a match and then being disqualified because your firearm fell out of your holster.
The Contender seems to offer the best of everything a competitor is looking for with lots of extra options like the turbo drop to bring the gun down to the correct height for your specific preference. I personally like that the retention screws use a traditional Phillips/flathead style rather than something proprietary or hex-based.
The Contender Competition holster will be available for the Cankik TP9SFx, CZ P09n CZ P10F, CZ Shadow 2, Glock 34, Sig P320 X Five, and the Smith & Wesson M&P 5 Inch. Each holster starts off at $57.87 with the ability to add various accessories and extras.
