POTD: Finnish Brutality 2020

Our Photo Of The Day, today comes from Finland. We are looking at a few shots sent to TFB by a team that took part in the Finnish Brutality 2 Gun competition, organized by the Finnish military store Varusteleka.

The Covid-19 pandemic affected the event, surely impacting international participation, but on August 22 and 23 a total of 120 shooters managed to get to the range, masked and equipped. The rifle and pistol course, the European cousin of the original Desert Brutality match, included several physical challenges along with some unconventional shooting positions. A tank, military vehicles, thrashed cars… it looks like it’s possible to have fun with firearms even in Europe, once in a while.

If you like the concept and you’d love to visit Finland, start training and invest in heavy clothing: Winter Brutality is planned for February 20 and 21, 2021. The organizers hope the range will be covered by lots of snow by that time.

You can find more info and the final results of the event on the Varusteleka website. All the official photos are available on the store’s Facebook page.
