Welcome everyone to the 64th edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only have Fudd appeal?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you the readers, found the blood/snow camo Tac-13 to be utter fudd crap.

HGFC has featured its fair share of gold guns over the years, but still, this Beretta 92FS is something else. Thinking of guns like the Beretta M9 might remind you of the United States military, or maybe the character John McClane in Die Hard.  Looking at this 92FS, and I feel like I’m in an alternate reality where Saddam Hussein is somehow still alive, and selling cocaine.

Having this gun resting on the American flag in each photo makes it look like a department trophy after a  drug seizure.  I can see how this gun is patriotic, but this is a little over the top.

With all that said, there’s no denying this gun will sell.  As it’s a no reserve auction and has plenty of bids, someone will be taking delivery of this gold-plated Berretta by the end of the month.  Still, the question remains, and as always I leave it up to you the reader to decide.
