This week I wanted to take an updated look at a question that is probably asked the most often: “What are the best 300BLK suppressors on the market today?” A simple question with a handful of good answers, depending on your requirements.

The Best 300BLK Suppressors Available

Criteria:

For me, picking a 300BLK suppressor primarily focuses on noise reduction. Sure, many Blackout shooters will use supersonic loads for hunting and defensive situations. But for the most part, everyone wants solid subsonic performance. Obviously there are other important criteria for 300 Blackout silencers. Here are my considerations in order:

1. Noise reduction
2. Mounting options – 1 3/8″-24 interface almost a requirement 
3. Blowback/back pressure mitigation – DI AR15’s can be unpleasant with bad gas regulation
4. Weight – Small guns shouldn’t have heavy cans. 
5. Length/Diameter – Noise reduction requires internal volume
6. Price – I’ll pay for quality and performance 
7. Special features – Modularity/wipes
8. Availability – A bird in the hand…
9. Durability – I’m not a full auto/mag dumping 300BLK shooter

Caveats:

Don’t take my word as gospel; there are many other makes and models not listed here that I don’t have experience with or other reviewers prefer for 300BLK use. Host varieties, barrel lengths and ammunition choices will all play a factor. Dead Air Nomad Series:

My current favorite 300BLK suppressor is the Nomad series from Dead Air Armament (specifically the longer Nomad-L). They are all very quiet and feature a modular mounting system.

It looks like the lightweight SureFire can went through a name change. This is one of the quietest 300BLK offerings on today’s market and even with the mounting system, it is pretty light. Unfortunately it’s not modular and is priced at the upper end of the scale. But the performance is top notch.

Q’s full-size offerings are real performers, taking subsonic 300BLK to the next level. While I like the Cherry Bomb mounting system, the Thunder Chicken doesn’t provide modular mounting solutions.

Although it’s built for sub guns and pistol caliber carbines, the Wolfman can handle subsonic 300BLK. And with the wipe installed, it’s very quiet. It’s modular – short and long configurations – and can take a variety of mounts.

The SRD762QD-Ti is one of the quietest 300BLK suppressors around, but it is going out of production to make way for SIG’s new silencers. The QD mounting system is not modular.

Rex Silentium MG10

While my review of the Rex MG10 didn’t earn an A+, I acknowledge that others may like the Rex Silentium 300BLK performance and that my experience is limited to a few range days. The cost is very reasonable and they come highly recommended from respected outlets like Hansohn Brothers and Suppressed Nation.
