Primary Arms has teamed up with Holosun to put the former’s ACSS reticle in the latter’s MRDS.

In recent years, Holosun has significantly elevated the quality of their red dot optics from the strictly “budget” category to become legitimate serious contenders. Many of their products, such as the 507 series, are now worth mentioning in the same conversations with established standards like the Trijicon RMR. Primary Arms, who started as an optics company in their own right before expanding to be the full-scope supplier and firearms industry powerhouse they are today, share much in common with Holosun. Their early scopes were often relegated to the purely entry-level or plinker considerations sets and not seen as viable for more serious use. Over the years they have similarly grown their offerings and expanded into higher price points with notably higher quality levels to match.

The ACSS reticle system's outer ring is intended to help you find the center chevron when it's outside the visible window, as shown here.

Now these two range toy-turned-capable brands are collaborating, with one of Primary Arms’ proprietary ACSS reticle designs having found a home in an exclusive Holosun 507C reflex sight. Available for pre-order now, meet the HS507C-V2 Pistol Red Dot Sight with ACSS Cyclops HG reticle. The official product description reads:

The Holosun HS507C-V2-ACSS is a new generation of pistol red dot sight packed full of features like the multiple reticle system, solar failsafe, and shake awake technology to ensure your reflex sight is always operational when you need it. On top of the two battery saving techniques, the HS507C-V2 reflex sight features a 50,000 hour battery life on setting 6 with the CR1632 battery. This battery is located in a convenient tray that slides out and allows you to easily change it without having to remove the optic from your pistol. This model features the revolutionary, patent pending ACSS Cyclops HG reticle with outer circle. It features a 7075-T6 aluminum construction with an anodized black finish and fully multicoated glass for long term durability that is backed by Holosun’s limited lifetime warranty.

The revolutionary patent pending ACSS Cyclops HG reticle provides a large circle guiding the eyes towards the 10 MOA center chevron, eliminating one of the biggest challenges for shooters new to slide mounted red dots. If you are off-center, a portion of this outer circle will appear in the window to give you instant reference on how to get centered. The circle phases out of the sight window completely when the center chevron is properly aligned in the sight window. This patent pending reticle function significantly improves sight acquisition. It takes the common frustration of hunting for the center reticle out of the equation. Don’t need the circle? It can be easily deactivated to extend the battery even further.

Holosun Technologies is committed to creating innovative optic, laser/IR technologies for a broad range of shooting, hunting, law enforcement, and military needs. Using quality manufacturing standards, they provide military grade optics without the military grade price.

The ACSS chevron can be used with a variety of guns in different calibers.

The ACSS chevron can be used with a variety of guns in different calibers. With one common complaint among new pistol red dot shooters being that they sometimes have trouble finding the dot, Primary Arms’ ACSS HG Cyclops reticle seems like it may have merit. What do you think? With this multiple reticle system, a $309.99 list price, and Holosun’s included features, is this a red dot worth looking at? Do you plan to pick one up, or do you dislike anything about it? Let us know in the comments! See you at the range.

Interesting the acss for pistol calibers, if barrel length doesn’t throw it off too much. This could be a good addition to some of the pccs.

clever - I think this is the first reticle that is bigger than the viewable area.
