Savage Announces New Red, White, and Blue Rascal

Savage Announces New Red, White, and Blue Rascal 1

Coinciding with this Independence Day weekend, Savage Arms has announced a new version of their .22LR Rascal that screams “Hell yeah, ‘Merica!” Had rimfire bolt guns been a thing in 1776, no doubt the founding fathers would’ve been proud to arm their Minutemen with the Stars and Stripes pattern first created by the most celebrated seamstress in the US history, Betsy Ross. The press release for this Star-Spangled shooter reads as follows.

Savage highlights some of the Rascal's particulars.

WESTFIELD, Massachusetts –– Savage is pleased to announce a dynamic addition to their Rascal line-up. The Rascal Red, White, & Blue is dressed in an American flag camo pattern that creates a colorful homage to Old Glory, making this the perfect fit for patriotic young shooters.

“It is our responsibility to help teach firearm safety to the next generation of American hunters and marksmen,” said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing for Savage Arms. “but that doesn’t mean the tools we use to teach can’t be fun. We’re proud of our American heritage and we’re showing that pride with these diminutive guns that are built to the same demanding standards as every other Savage.”

The new Savage Rascal Red, White, & Blue makes a bold statement. Paired with the American flag camo synthetic stock, the rifle can help mentors build new shooters’ shooting skills thanks to standard features that are notably absent on many small rimfires. The Rascal teaches accuracy and safety with the same tools teachers use themselves. From its adjustable peep sights to Savage’s user-adjustable AccuTrigger™, this is every inch a Savage.

These new Rascals will start shipping this August. Visit your local Savage dealer and place your order today. Find your local Savage dealer at https://savagearms.com/where.

Beyond the patriotic paint job, this diminutive defender of democracy brings all the same features and functions of the rest of the Rascal line. The 16.125″ carbon steel barrel has a 1:16 twist, it gives the rifle a 31.5″ overall length, and the lightweight synthetic stock helps keeping the total weight down to a scant 2.71 pounds. The Rascal can be a fun plinker in its own right, and really shines as a teaching tool to help bring young shooters into the sport easily and safely. Happy 4th of July! See you at the range.
