Welcome everyone to the 56th Edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or does it just have Fudd appeal? Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you the readers, decided the Freedom pigeon was a hot gat.

Shortly after the article aired the seller decided to lower the asking price for the freedom pigeon.  That bold strategy paid off, as the rifle sold for $1,000.  We don’t know who purchased the rifle, but congratulations on the acquisition of your new hot gat.

Just like all hunting stories, I’m not entirely sure if I can trust this one. I guess the single point slings and scuff marks does give it a little more credibility.  As AR-10 pattern pistols go, these do have that very cool “Eagle Arms by Armalite” roll mark on them.  Granted it’s not as cool as the Hollywood California AR-15 roll mark, but cool nonetheless.

Maybe this guy was just ahead of the curve when it came to hunting with a pistol.  I, however, would prefer to not set off a flashbang in front on my face when it comes time to pull the trigger.  But hey, to each their own.

There’s certainly a market for retro AR’s of all flavors, but $6,400 does seem a bit high.  As I can’t remember the last time I saw a retro AR-10 pistol (let alone a set) for sale, who knows, maybe this is the right price.  As always, I’ll let you be the judge.
