100% sure – Would not skip class. In today’s Photo Of The Day we’re looking at the Carl Gustav M/45, also called the Swedish K GunKulsprutepistol m/45 (abbreviated Kpist m/45), which can be translated to something like bullet spraying pistol. A pretty accurate name, in fact.

The M/45 is fully-automatic only, and the model is still used in sports shooting competitions in Sweden. In these competitions, you are not allowed to shoot fully-automatic though.

You can actually own an M/45, and I guesstimate that there are about 1,500 of them with sports shooters.

    Caption for the top picture:

A student assigned to the U. S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School who is in the Special Forces Weapons Sergeant Course fires a Carl Gustav M/45, also known as a Swedish K Gun, during weapons training at Fort Bragg, North Carolina May 12, 2020. The Soldiers were trainined to employ, maintain and engage targets with select U.S. and foreign pistols, rifles, shotguns, submachine and machine guns, grenade launchers and mortars and in the utilization of observed fire procedures.

As if the Swedish K wasn’t enough, note the Heckler & Koch MP5 SD being manipulated in-front.
