Deals-of-the-Week-Header-1

Welcome one and all, to the Father’s Day Weekend edition of the one, the only, Deals of the Week. I’m your host Benjamin F, coming to you from my secluded bunker downtown writing studio. Bringing you nothing but the best deals I can find, even in the middle of a panic buying session that’s lasted for months. With no further ado, let’s get into it.

GunMag Warehouse Father’s Day Sale – Up to 40% off

Image Provided by GunMag Warehouse
What the deal is:

It’s a big sale on gun magazines is what it is. This Father’s Day (which is this coming Sunday if you didn’t already know), give your dad the gift of not having to spend as much time putting rounds into magazines while he’s at the range, in exchange for more time putting rounds into magazines when he’s at home. There are SIG P320/250 .357SIG/.40S&W mags for 50% off, even though the header image says it stops at 40% off but who’s complaining right? OEM Glock 44 mags for 17% off, CMMG AR-15 .22LR conversion mags for 40% off, and more!

Magpul PMag 5.56/.223 AR-15 Gen2 Mags – $7.99 after adding to cart

What the deal is:

Gen2 AR-15 PMAGs. I am certain that almost everyone reading this post has used these before. They hold cartridges, they go into the AR-15, the AR-15 takes them from the magazine and puts bullets out the front and spent brass out the side. Or as I prefer to put it, they take in the bang producers, and they assist the freedom dispenser in releasing freedom seeds into the backstop. However you want to slice it, they’re the gold standard for reliable AR-15 magazines.

Why it’s a good deal:

Hey, $7.99 per? That’s pretty great. Especially since everyone is panic buying right now. Even pre-COVID getting PMAGs for $7.99 a pop would be considered a good deal. Now? I’d say this is a pretty great one. And yes some of you in the comments will grumble about how these aren’t great deals compared to how things used to be, but you can’t get a Mosin and two spam cans worth of ammo for $80 anymore either.

Shellback Tactical Skirmish Plate Carrier and 2 Level IV Plates – $399.99

Image Provided by Shellback Tactical
What the deal is:

Shellback Tactical’s “Active Shooter Kit” that comes with none of what you would need to stop an active shooter. However, if you like to wear a plate carrier and level IV armor, and don’t already have some, this is actually a pretty decent bundle. I’d hesitate to say this is a duty grade plate carrier since I haven’t had a chance to, you know, go for a 10-mile ruck in it, but it is a solid system from a reputable company. It’s a plate carrier with MOLLE rigging, a kangaroo pouch, and space for 10×12 plates. Which of course, it comes with two 10×12 NIJ certified level IV plates.

Why it’s a good deal:

So part of this most recent panic is yet another hands in the air pearl-clutching fear that we’re suddenly not going to have access to body armor anymore. Of course, I remember the last three times we’ve had this exact same panic and nothing came of it, but it does mean that plate carriers and armor are damn near impossible to find right now. So here is a decent plate carrier, I mean it’s no LBV or Crye, but it’ll function just fine since you only need this to LARP, and two NIJ level IV plates. For a reasonable price. In stock.

Brownells Father’s Day Sale

What the deal is:

One more big old buy your dad something nice sale! Get a BRN-180 upper for $650! Or if you don’t like piston-driven AR-15 goodness, get a Brownells exclusive Geissele trigger for $160! Get a 10-pack of Glock 9mm magazines (G17/34 or G19) for just $209.99. There’s plenty of great deals, so go browse around and see what catches your fancy.

Dad's getting a Kamado grill this year. And by dad, I mean me. And by getting, I mean already bought. And by grill, I mean these ribs came out perfect after 8 hours of slow cooking with some smoke.

Not buying any firearms or gear at today's prices. I'll leave that for the unprepared.

Happy Father's Day to all you other dads.

@Marc I've just been stocking up for so long, it doesn't make sense to buy now.
