If you have not heard of Kaw Valley Precision before, they make linear comps for firearms. They recently came out with a new modular linear comp that is similar to the modular suppressors we have seen from Q and other suppressor manufacturers. The Kaw Valley Precision MACH linear comp can be built to any length you want.

Like Lego, the Kaw Valley Precision MACH uses a standardized component and you just use multiples to build the linear comp you want. The system consists of the following:

• Standard End Cap
• 1″ coupler
• 1″ spacer
• Threaded Adapter

The MACH is just a stack of 1″ spacers between the coupler and threaded adapter. According to Kaw Valley Precision, they designed the MACH to be compatible with Silencer Co trilug adapter and direct thread mounts. And technically you could use a Q Plan B threaded adapter to mount the MACH onto a Cherry Bomb.

The KVP MACH Modular Linear Comp is a Patent Pending linear compensator system that is completely user configurable! If you’ve struggled to find a comp the correct length for the perfect “tuck,” configure your own! By utilizing 1-1/8″x28 TPI internal threads, the Kaw Valley Precision MACH Modular Linear Comp can utilize common suppressor attachments, such as a SilencerCo 3-Lug Mount, SilencerCo Direct thread mounts, etc. KVP has opened up a level of modularity that has never before been offered in the Linear Comp market. The Mach Comps allow end users to run any length comp they want, including extra long configurations acting as a placeholder for a suppressor awaiting a Form 4 approval. Each component is machined from 6061-T651 Aluminum and hard coat anodized for wear protection. The Kaw Valley Precision MACH system utilizes a 1-1/4″ hexagonal wrench flat configuration for easy installation with a standard open end or adjustable wrench.

For permanent configurations of a MACH Modular Linear Comp, Red Locktite (or similar) thread locker should be considered. If future re-configure of the comp is desired, anti-seize on the mating threads is recommended.

As mentioned above, the MACH 3 Linear Comp only comes with one endcap, one coupler and two 1″ spacers. It retails for $49.95 but you need to add a threaded adapter if you want to mount it to anything. Kaw Valley Precision’s threaded adapters are only $24.95 and come in 1/2×28, 1/2×36, and 5/8×24.
