Wilson Combat has announced the availability of a Bullet Proof series product – an adjustable gas block for AR-15 and AR-10 pattern rifles. Adjustable gas blocks are getting more and more popular because they are really handy tools for fine tuning your firearm to any particular load and, of course, for adjusting the gas system for use with suppressors.

One of the most interesting features of the Wilson Combat Bullet Proof gas block is the carbon cutter design of the regulator assembly. As you rotate it to adjust the system, the sharp edge of the regulator scrapes the internal walls of the gas chamber like an auger ensuring that the gas block won’t get seized after heavy use. Wilson Combat Bullet Proof adjustable gas blocks are made of 4140 steel and have a black nitrided finish/surface treatment. The regulator assembly is made of 17-4 stainless steel and is also nitrided. The Bullet Proof gas blocks are low profile and come with straight gas tubes available in a variety of length options to include pistol, carbine, mid-length, intermediate and rifle lengths. These gas blocks are also available for barrels with .750″ or .875″ gas block journal diameters.

In order to adjust this gas block, all you need is a flat head screwdriver or a similar tool to rotate the regulator. The built-in spring-loaded detent ensures the retention of each of the 16 adjustment positions and provides audible clicks making it easier to know in which position you are by counting the clicks.
