Speer is introducing a new line of Gold Dot Rifle ammunition for owners of rifles in 223 Rem., 300 BLK and 308 Win. As the brass is nickel-plated it has the special look you can see in the pictures. The following ammunition is going to be available from the start. Note the heavy 75-grain bullet in .223 Rem.

Now Speer is offering the same performance for self-defense rifle applications. New Gold Dot Rifle ammunition is engineered to provide industry-leading performance in FBI protocol testing through barrels less than 16 inches long. Shipments of this new product have begun to arrive at dealers.

    Here I am still buying buying surplus SS109/Green Tip.

      @Uniform223 Good for practice but I'd never use M855 as defensive ammo unless I had no choice as it was a downgrade even from a military perspective (fleet yaw is bad yo.)

      I use MK318 in my actual home defense mag I keep loaded back when you could get it for less than 50 cents a round pre panic buy which is proven to be far more effective against both unshielded and behind cover personnel targets.

    Are they going to offer these as component bullets only? I keep seeing Speer .223 bullets on midway but they are never in stock
