Tikka rifles are used by accomplished shooters in disciplines varying from big-game hunting to long-range competition shooting. They are known worldwide for their tremendous accuracy out-of-the-box, great ease of use, simple maintenance, and availability of parts for upgrades. If you are in the market of improving your stock Tikka rifle, a great piece to look at is new bottom metal specifically from High Desert Rifle Works. The High Desert Rifle Works Linear Bottom Metal is their newest product in a long line of quality upgrades to the platform. Established back in 2014, they have been crafting and tailoring products for Tikka firearms for years.

The High Desert Rifle Works Linear Bottom Metal is designed to complement modern rifle stocks, and allow more room for a gloved hand while shooting. This can be invaluable on frigid days afield hunting or blustery days on the firing line at a competition. The reason why the Linear Bottom Metal from High Desert Rifle Works is worth investing in is in the finer details. Aluminum’s increased strength means you can easily torque the action screw to 45 In/Lbs. The trigger guard’s decreased flexibility removes vibration. These two benefits together increase your potential accuracy. Some of the other specifications for the Linear Bottom Metal can be read below as presented by High Desert Rifle Works:

  • Aluminum Trigger Guard for Tikka T3/T3x Lite, Superlite, Hunter, Compact, Tac, Varmint, Forest, and Battue series of rifles
  • Designed to Match the Form Factor of Linear Rifle Stocks
  • Made of 6061 Aluminum | Cerakote H Series | Cerakote Titanium
  • Weighs 2.3 Ounces
  • Includes Aluminum Magazine Release
  • Includes Shim Kit and CRAFTSMAN T25 TORX Bit for ¼ Inch Driver
  • Proudly designed in New Mexico and made in the USA

The Linear Bottom Metal is available in Black and Stainless Cerakote at an MSRP of $145. The Cerakote finish on every Linear Bottom Metal is applied locally by BMC Tactical in Albuquerque. The founder and CEO of High Desert Rifle Works, Thomas Gomez, concisely explains why you may want this bottom metal or any of their trigger guards:

Tikka makes a fantastic rifle. The addition of our Trigger Guard maximizes the accuracy potential of the rifle and will not fail.

Many rifle manufacturers like Tikka use plastic trigger guards on their firearms and a solid bottom metal upgrade, like the High Desert Rifle Works Linear Bottom Metal, can do wonders to improving accuracy. I'd be interested to see how much tighter it makes it shoot because they certainly shoot well.

@High Desert Rifle Works I had a look at the stock around that area and i can see how there's definitely some real potential space for flex. Can definitely see why you developed this. It makes sense!
      Do you sell to overseas?

The burris RDS trash combined with the golden pins on that trashy glock explains everything... No money for quality, but money to buy every <200USD aftermarket bullshit, from slide to barrel.
