Browe Inc. has announced the release of a new red dot sight called Browe Micro Reflex (BMR). The company describes its new product as a simple, intuitive and effective solution for use with pistols, rifles, carbines and shotguns. Let’s take a closer look.

The Browe Micro Reflex (BMR) is a non-magnified sight with and unlimited eye-relief. The 3-MOA red dot can be adjusted in 1 MOA increments and has 8 brightness settings. The lens features a multi-layer anti-reflective coating and has the following dimension: 23x17mm (about .90″x.67″). The battery is inserted from the side of the housing which means you can change the battery without uninstalling the sight from your weapon. The sight is powered by a single CR1632 battery and has an advertised battery life of 55,000 hours on the middle brightness setting.

The housing of the BMR sight is made of 6061-T6 aluminum and has a matte black hard coat anodized finish. The sight is fog proof and waterproof with IPX-7 rating (tested by immersing to one-meter depth for 30 minutes). The operating temperature range is -40 to 140 Fahrenheit. The sight has a DOCTER footprint mounting interface and also comes with a Picatinny rail mount. The length of the BMR sight is 1.9″ (48.26mm) and it’s 1.1″ (28mm) wide. The weight (including the battery) is 1.85 oz (52.5g) or 1.27 oz (36g) with and without the Picatinny rail mount.

The Browe Micro Reflex (BMR) sight is listed on the company’s website at an MSRP of $295. Additionally, there are versions of the sight with a raised Picatinny rail mount (MSRP – $325) and with a 45-degree angled Picatinny rail mount (MSRP – $325).
