POTD: Minigun Monday VII

We’re back in the river, the Cape Fear River, in the seventh edition of the Photo Of The Day: Minigun Monday. The location is Elizabethtown, NC (USA) and we’re looking (above) at Nestor Gonzalez, attending the Riverine Crewman Course (RCC), as he mans the M134 Minigun aboard a Riverine Patrol Boat.

Below: With 880 horses in his right hand, Aviation Ordnanceman 2nd Class Matthew Watson looks just as happy as having a Minigun. The 2 × 440 hp Yanmar diesel engines drive two Hamilton HJ292 water pumpjets, up to the speed of around 40 knots so the Minigun can get where it needs to get.
