Desert Heaters: Jordanian Small Arms Production

Jordanian Armaments and Weapon Systems is a component of King Abdullah II’s Design and Development Bureau. JAWS primarily focuses on small arms production and assembly, both for internal use by Jordanian Armed Forces in addition to some export sales.

Today the state armaments company produces and assembles various AR15 derivatives in different barrel lengths and configurations, Jericho handguns in 9x19mm, and even 1911s with a Jordanian flair to them with the royal crest of arms on them. In addition to working on newer materiel, the factory also does work on refurbishing surplus small arms such as turning older M16A1s into M4-configurations and M14s into Designated Marksman EBR rifles with Sage International stocks.
