Leupold & Stevens, Inc has just announced that the Leupold Performance Eyewear is now available for purchase. All five models are designed, manufactured and assembled in the United States and will take full advantage of Leupold & Stevens 113 years of optics manufacturing experience. Some of you out there might already have a pair from Leupold’s “Join the Hunt” geocaching event.

All of the frame styles are made from ballistic-rated materials and will be shipped with scratch-resistant, polarized lenses. You should find the same quality and clarity that you find in the legendary Leupold riflescopes across all five frame styles.

Katmai

The choice for adventurers of all kinds. The Katmai style offers a lightweight yet rugged design with an exceptionally clear view to keep your vision true.

Katmai

The Katmai Polarized Sunglasses start at $129.99 for the matte black style and $159.99 for the Tortoise style color.

Becnara

The Becnara style takes notes from both the fashion industry and Leupold’s proven performance. The Becnara style offers rugged Polarized lenses but with a style that can be worn every day.

Becnara

The Becnara Performance Eyewear is priced at an MSRP of $159.99.

Packout and Switchback

The Packout and Switchback both have shooters and hunters in mind specifically. Both have incredible optical clarity combined with an ANSI Z87.1 high-velocity impact protection rating which will keep your eyes protected from hazards associated with shooting firearms. The Packout comes in two styles while the Switchback comes in three color options and features a thicker arm section.

Switchback

The Packout starts at an MSRP of $179.99 for matte black and $189.99 for Tortoise style color. The Switchback starts at $179.99 for Matte Black and $189.99 for both Matte Gray and Matte Tortoise.

Tracer

The Tracer shares its high-velocity ANSI Z87.1 impact protection rating with an additional feature that I actually quite like. The Tracer ships with additional clear and yellow interchangeable lenses. I find this ability quite useful for differing weather conditions as some lenses are suited to overcast and darker days than others.

Tracer

The Tracer style comes in both Black starting at $149.99 and Tan with an MSRP of $179.99.

All five styles of Performance Eyewear make use of infused polarized lenses which eliminate glare. This keeps your eyes fresh no matter what you’re doing or where you’re at. This polarization cannot be worn off or scratched off over time as it is built directly into the lenses, unlike other polarized glasses.

Meanwhile, Leupold’s Guard-ion hydrophobic coating will shed dirt, water, and fingerprints to keep your field of view unobstructed while the diamondcoat-hardened lenses prevent surface scratches from forming.

After my time I only trust my eyes with 2 companies, ESS and Wiley X. I've seen and read some anecdotal stuff online as well as having personal experience to have confidence in their product.
That being said however, this stuff looks pretty good. If they put as much effort as they do into making high quality pieces of glass as they do into making these eyes, I wouldnt mind taking a look or even getting me some.
