Hellfire Linear Flash Suppressor from Area 419

Hellfire Linear Flash Suppressor, from Area 419

Area 419 has a lot of muzzle devices to attach to the dangerous end of your barrel, to make any energy that exits behave in a different manner. For instance, they have the clever Maverick Recoil Suppression System which TFB covered earlier.

They are now introducing the Hellfire Linear Flash Suppressor, which marries the flash hider capabilities with a blast forwarding design. According to the manufacturer, it’s the perfect carbine muzzle device for current Hellfire system users.

Here’s how they describe the muzzle brake:

As the Hellfire line has grown to not only have the Flagship 3-Port Brake, but the 2P, and a wide variety of Suppressor Mounts, the need became clear for a carbine-specific muzzle device.

We got requests for linear/blast-forwarding devices, as well as flash-hiders, and couldn’t decide which we liked better – and weren’t convinced it had to be one or the other.

Introducing, the Hellfire Linear Flash Suppressor.

This device is half flash hider and half blast forwarder, giving carbine, SBR and AR Pistol owners a tailor-made device for reducing flash signature as well as concussion mitigation.

Made from 17-4 PH Stainless and Black Nitrided, this system is constructed of two parts, and assembled in a manner that we intend to be permanent. The bore aperture of the LFS is suitable for calibers up to .458, loading the device with versatility and function.

Here is a video that explains the product. I think the product shown is just stainless and did not get the black nitride surface finishing yet.

    The technical specifications:

    Weight .5 lbs
    Dimensions 6 × 4 × 2 in
    Manufacturer Area 419
Thread Pitch 1/2-28, 5/8-24, NO ADAPTER

To say the least, this solution can be quite nice especially if you’re running a short barrel on your rifle.

The price is between $120 to $150 depending on how you configure it. You can find a direct link here.

What do you think? Which is your favourite muzzle brake?
