Photo Of The Day – Today we look at the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards with NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Poland, in Bemowo Piskie, Poland.
The British soldier above is manning an L21A1 12.7mm heavy machine gun mounted on a Jackal armored wheeled vehicle. You might have already guessed it, but that is an M2 Browning .50 BMG. It seems it has blank ammunition in the belt.
The following photos feature troops equipped with the L85A2 variant of the SA80 individual weapon, Britain’s 5.56x45mm bullpup service rifle. The Heckler & Koch were recently awarded a contract to upgrade some L85A2/SA80A2s to the improved L85A3/SA80A3 spec.
