News from Kahles – HELIA 3.5-18x50i and New 7×25 LRF

    HELIA 3,5-18x50i

With the German – and highly International – exhibition IWA being postponed until September some of the news will be published online until we can see them after the summer. From the Austrian company KAHLES Ges.m.b.H., with a state-of-the-art facility in Guntramsdorf near Vienna, we get some news which should interest hunters.

First out we have the Kahles HELIA 3.5-18x50i, with up to 18 power magnification and illuminated reticles and optional bullet drop compensator. The HELIA 3.5-18x50i will be available in stores starting March 2020 for a retail price of € 1,950. That is about 2,200 USD.

    HELIA 3,5-18x50i

    PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS

.: Hunting optics with up to 18-time magnification
.: Parallax adjustment shapely combined with the illumination unit
.: Powerful optic system with exceptional edge to edge clarity
.: Day/night illuminated reticle with intelligent automatic switch-off
    .: OILPHOBIC coated lenses

The HELIA 3.5-18x50i is a new addition to the HELIA range of riflescopes for stalking and hunting from a hide, which impress on account of their uncompromising focus on the essentials: Functionality, reliability, handling and aesthetics.

The 18x magnification power of the HELIA 3.5-18x50i allows targets to be spotted even from further away with an impressive level of details and precision.

The parallax compensation turning knob, which has been elegantly combined with the light control, prevents meeting point deviation resulting from a parallax (sight fault) and ensures maximum sharpness of image and reticle at the highest levels of magnification.

The powerful optics system offers exceptional edge sharpness and a brilliant image with full colour fidelity.

The optional KAHLES ballistic drop compensation and other useful accessory products are available for personal customisation, allowing you to create the perfect tool for your hunt.

Secondly, there is a new and handy LRF, Laser Range Finder. I have a similar one from Zeiss, and they are very compact and comfortable to bring even for a longer walk.

The new LRF is called HELIA RF-M 7×25 (Laser Range Finder), and is described as follows:

KAHLES is presenting its first monocular rangefinder in the form of the new HELIA RF-M, which has been specially designed for hunting situations.

Its key features include fast target detection up to a range of 2000 m, a large field of view with exceptional edge sharpness, intuitively simple operation/menu navigation, an extremely compact and ergonomic design, a high-quality OLED display and the integrated EAC function (patented enhanced angle compensation).

At just 214 g, it is also incredibly lightweight.
