Diamondback Announce Shipping Date for New DBX 5.7 Pistol

Diamondback’s New 5.7mm Pistol, the DBX 5.7 (Diamondback)

Diamondback Firearms, out of Cocoa, Florida, announced their latest product earlier this year, a new 5.7 pistol with an 8-inch barrel. 2020 seems to be the year of 5.7x28mm, with a resurgence which has seen multiple products chambering the spitzer pistol calibre round.

The new Diamondback DBX 5.7 uses an AR-15 mil-spec trigger and comes as standard with a Magpul MOE-K grip. Its receiver is made from hard coat anodized 7075 aluminum, while the handguard is machined from 6061 aluminium. The DBX 5.7 ships with a DBX muzzle device, a Magpul Handstop kit and a 20-round FN FiveSeven-pattern magazine. The pistol has a full-length Picatinny top rail and the DBX 5.7 also comes equipped with a rear Picatinny mounting point for a side-folding brace. With the included brace, it has an overall length of 25.4 inches and is just 16.1 inches long without the brace fitted. It has a slim profile of just 1.25 inches and weighs 3 lbs unloaded, without the brace.

Diamondback Firearms has worked hard to offer not only a new and different product, but something truly innovative for shooters to enjoy,” Kaley Cox, Marketing Director for Diamondback America, said in a statement. “We are very excited to bring our customers the DBX 5.7 and introduce them to something beyond the traditional pistol or carbine on the market.
