Featured Deals of the Week – 2/21/20

    Deals-of-the-Week-Header-1

Welcome back everyone to another Featured Deals of the Week. I’m your host Benjamin F, the gun-running fun-loving discord-moderating neanderthal that lucked into a job at TFB. Let’s get down to business.

    Norinco SKS Type 56 Blued – $399.99 + $10 ffl shipping fee

    Image Provided by Sportsman’s Warehouse

    What the deal is:

It’s a ChiCom SKS, and that’s about all there is to it. These are used rifles, manufactured between 1955-1956, and sold as surplus. It comes with a fixed spike bayonet so you can bayonet charge across mommy’s basement. It eats 7.62×39, which you can find for as cheap as $0.16cpr.

    Why it’s a good deal:

Yeah yeah yeah, your Grandpa bought one of these 40 years ago for $5 and a smile, and your cousin bought one 10 years ago for $150 since he wanted to splurge and get something nicer than a Mosin. Well, $400 is the going price these days. Why does it constitute a good deal? Because a year from now they’re gonna be selling for $425, and a few years after that $450. The price isn’t getting any lower.

    Del-Ton 16″ Heavy Mid-Length Rifle Kit – $299

    Image Provided by Del-Ton.com

    What the deal is:

Literally everything you need to assemble your AR-15 except for a lower. This has a lower parts kit, buttstock assembly, and a complete upper including a BCG and charging handle. This does have a heavy barrel, which is a no-go for some people. It has a mid-length gas system in the upper.

    Why it’s a good deal:

Shipping is free, and you get everything but a lower for $300, meaning you can build a complete rifle for $350 or less. Del-Ton is a reputable manufacturer who’s been making ARs for a very long time, so these parts are good to go.

    M&P shield EZ 9mm w/ manual safety – $399.99

Image Provided by Palmetto State Armory

    What the deal is:

As two of my partners in crime adminning the TFB discord have mentioned, the M&P Shield 9 is the perfect concealed carry gun for your mom. And that’s not a dig or a joke. It functions reliably and is designed for someone who only casually conceal-carries, or has low grip strength, or both. It will go bang every time you pull the trigger. This model comes with the thumb safety, which is a big selling point for some folks.

    Why it’s a good deal:

Generally speaking, the EZ9s with a thumb safety is going for around $450. Some a little higher, some a little lower. But for $400, you’re getting a great deal on a great firearm.
