Here is how Ruger describes this rifle in their press release:

We are pleased to introduce the Ruger American® Rimfire Long-Range Target. This new rimfire offering bridges the gap between traditional wood stock rifles and full-featured chassis rifles. The accuracy of the exceptional Ruger American® Rimfire platform comes from a combination of the long, 22″ free-floating barrel, Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ Trigger and Patented Power Bedding® system. This new rifle delivers long-range performance in a .22 LR package.

The Ruger American Rimfire Long-Range Target rifle comes with a stock that looks similar to Ruger’s Hawkeye Long-Range Target rifle stock. The cheekpiece of this two-tone stock can be adjusted vertically as well as along the bore axis. The adjustments of the length of pull are done via spacers sandwiched between the stock itself and the rubber buttpad. There are two QD sling swivel sockets on the rear of the stock and another socket at the very front of the forearm. There is also a bottom M-LOK rail that is mounted flush with the forearm.

The barreled action of this rifle is bedded with Ruger’s patented Power Bedding integral bedding block system that “positively locates the receiver and free-floats the barrel for outstanding accuracy“. The Ruger Marksman adjustable trigger can be adjusted within the trigger pull weight range of 3 lbs to 5 lbs. The rifle lacks iron sights but comes with an aluminum Picatinny rail section installed on the receiver. The 22” bull contour barrel is threaded with the 1/2-28 thread pitch and comes with a thread protector.

The Ruger American Rimfire Long-Range Target rifle is fed from Ruger 10/22 magazines including the BX-1, BX-25, BX-25×2 and BX-15. The standard 10-round rotary magazine fits flush with the stock. The magazine release lever is extended to make the removal of flush-fit magazines an easier process. The overall length of this rifle is 40.5″ and it weighs 8 lbs.
