News from Finland: Tikka T3x Ultimate Precision Rifle

Riihimäki, Finland. Yes, that’s the birthplace for the new T3x Ultimate Precision Rifle, or UPR for short, which was just released together with 3 other new Tikkas.

The new T3x UPR has some features that I’m sure will interest TFB readers. For instance the UPR comes with a Picatinny rail, with either a 20 MOA inclined rail or a 0 MOA flat option.

The new T3x receiver introduces a widened angular ejection port that makes it easier to feed one cartridge at a time.

It also has a built-in adjustable cheek piece, so the shooter can get an optimal alignment for his eye versus the scope.

New for Tikka and the Ultimate Precision Rifle is the introduction of a new kind of lightweight stock construction. Here the bedding features an extra layer of carbon fiber mixed with fiberglass to increase the rigidity and accuracy.

For optimal grip in any condition, the stock comes coated with a rough surface and has attachments for QD slings.

With regards to grip, the UPR stock comes as close to having a ‘pistol grip’ as possible without having one. I think this stock is going to be very popular, as it seems to fit other Tikka models as well.

T3x models come with a new recoil pad technology that reduces the impact of recoil on the shooter. The new robust pad allows you to fully concentrate on the accuracy of your shots.

The choice between a single stage or set trigger is yours.

All T3x UPR rifles have a 5/8×24 thread. For instance, the new Ase Utra Radien Over-Barrel Suppressor would make a perfect fit.

I checked for possible calibers for the UPR rifle and couldn’t find a complete list, but the search engine replied with 48 hits with right hand configurations in most of the popular calibers like .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor and .260 Rem.

All Tikka rifles are guaranteed to perform under 1 M.O.A accuracy. Tikka also released the T3x Lite Veil Wideland and Alpine and the T3x Lite Roughtech rifles.
