POTD: Cutaway IWI Tavor

    IWI's Cutaway Tavor (Matthew Moss/TFB)

One of the coolest things at IWI’s 2020 SHOT Show booth wasn’t a new gun, like the IWI Zion or their very cool bullpup shotgun, but something a little older, something that couldn’t even fire a shot if it wanted to -an instructional cutaway of a Tavor SAR.

IWI had two of these beautiful instructional aides on display at their booth. Made using the process of water jet cutting they have been used for a couple of years for demonstrating functionality during IWI armourers courses and this year IWI decided to bring them along. They caused a minor stir with a lot of people mentioning them and noting how cool they are.

The cutaway Tavors are difficult and relatively expensive to make and sadly IWI have no immediate plans to offer them for sale to the public. I took some more photos and video of them, check that out here.
