The Finnish Defense Forces are getting new combat and medical packs.

They are made from high quality 1000D Cordura in Finnish M05 camouflage, to match the current issue M17 body armour. There are G-hook attachment straps that can be used to attach the packs to the M17 body armour, like the M17s own back panel.

We also get a look at the Finnish M95 7.62×39 RK 95 Modernized standard assault rifle, made by SAKO and adopted in 1995. There used to be a civilian 7.62mm-caliber semi-automatic version called M92S, that came with a fixed buttstock.

Finnish Defence Forces – new M20 combat and medical packs:

Finn-Savotta recently won a contract to manufacture the FDFs new M20 combat and medical packs, a big multi-year contract that will keep a good portion of our production busy for some time.

These will be manufactured at our facilities in Karstula, Finland and Tartu, Estonia.

The new M20 combat pack fills the gap for a 12-24h assault pack, something not currently available in the FDF.

It features a folding top lid design for quick access and is designed to carry squad machine gun belted ammunition and spare barrels, breaching tools, personal gear such as rations, spare ammunition and clothing etc.

A beavertail style compressible cargo panel carries additional equipment readily accessible on the outside. All steel hardware ensures reliability in prolonged field use in extreme cold environments.

Streamlining the medics load the new medical pack is more compact than the currently issued earlier model. Designed to carry the true essentials of life saving medical material, it features a full front zipper with detachable hook-and-loop organizer pouches and an external bottom compartment hanging below the main body.

PALS webbing provides external attachment points for additional pouches, allowing the end-users to configure the packs to their specific needs.
