Bul Armory is a Tel Aviv, Israel based gun manufacturer that specializes in competition-ready 1911 style handguns. Since 1990, Bul Armory has been manufacturing and developing and innovating guns to suit their users and over time this has lead to them producing firearms for every day carry and even law enforcement and military applications. I had a great time talking to the guys from BUL armory who are themselves, competitive shooters and I’m more than happy to share their SHOT 2020 offerings with you all here.
[SHOT 2020] Israel’s Bul Armory Shot Show Pistol Lineup
The primary focus of Bul Armory seems to be on the competitive side of the business. Their 1911 styled competition-ready handguns feature a one-piece barrel that integrates a muzzle brake. Some of their other models of the same style of gun (offered in both single and double stack) feature completely polymer lowers which helps with weight savings.
Many of their Race guns feature an oversized charging handle which aids the shooter during reloads and press checks in between heats. Many of the other controls or features such as the safety lever have ambidextrous controls or are oversized such as the beavertail. All of Bul Armory’s parts are made in house ensuring high-quality throughout the build process.
By far the gold mine of their competition gun line up is their triggers. To be completely honest, upon picking up one of their guns showcased on the table, I inadvertently let the hammer fall on one of their SAS II UR F (Ultimate Racer) handguns. The Trigger on their competition guns is extremely light, smooth and crisp. This characteristic also bleeds over into their other models of handguns for other applications. If there is one thing I observed is that Bul Armory knows how to make a good trigger.
Bul Armory also offers a line of duty and carry weapons suited more towards practical carrying applications. Offerings like the SAS II Ultralight tone down some of the ostentatious add ons to their guns and bring them into a compact, and concealable package but with the same excellent trigger that the competition line offers. Most offerings come optics ready as well.
Triggers on these models are adjustable for both safety and the comfort level of the shooter and come in both alloy and polymer frames. Even though these guns are designed for carry and duty use, they do share a lot of the same attention to detail that the competition line of guns has. This brings great aesthetics, precision machine work and excellent reliability to the shooter.
Also, new for 2020 will be some of their new polymer-framed striker-fired pistols pictured below. These should be out sometime in late 2020.
Bul Armory brought probably more pistols to their booth than any other company on the ground level and to list every single one here would put any sane person to sleep. For a full listing of all of their pistols and pistol caliber carbines, you can visit their site at http://bularmory.com.
