While out at SHOT Show 2020, we swung by the Falkor Defense booth to see what they had new for this year, and they surprised us by debuting 3 NEW Falkor Defense Chassis Systems for Rem 700 actions and associated Rem 700 clones. With these Falkor Defense Chassis Systems you are covered in your short-action and long-action cartridges with the ability to choose from lightweight chassis systems all the way up to heavier competition-style chassis rigs. With 3 new Falkor Defense Chassis Systems to look at let’s dive right on in!

FALKOR defense LWS CHASSIS SYSTEM (Lightweight Short-Action Chassis System)

With the Falkor Defense LWS Chassis System (Lightweight Short-Action Chassis), you get a heavily upgraded chassis compared to what a stock Rem 700 might be sitting in without breaking the bank. Based on the finish you choose for your short-action, your price can vary anywhere from $600 or less. The complete specifications for the LWS Chassis System can be read below as presented by Falkor Defense:

• Weight: 1.75 lbs chassis and grip
• Length of Pull: 32”-33” OAL with a 14.5-15.5 LOP
• Large magazine well for easy mag insertion/removal – large flares on magazine well for easy insertion/removal
• Ergonomic and solid one piece design
• Stock height at comb and heel – .30” below bore centerline
• Accommodates barrel contours up to 1.4″
• AICS pattern magazines for both short and long action. (3.715” long action) including the AICS AW magazine
• Ambidextrous magazine release located close to trigger for quick magazine changes

• CNC machined from Aircraft grade Aluminum and finished with H-series Cerakote

The LWS Chassis System accepts all Rem 700 and similar cloned actions chambered for short-action cartridges. The MSRP varies based on the finish you choose between $399 – $599. The different finishes you have to pick from are Stealth Grey, FDE (Flat Dark Earth), Urban Jungle, Urban Snowfall, and Sahara Camo. At the moment, almost all of these are available on the Falkor Defense website for those who may be interested.

FALKOR defense CSS CHASSIS system (Competition Sniper Short-Action Chassis System)

The Falkor Defense CSS Chassis System goes in a different direction from the LWS in that it is going to be a heavier and more complete chassis that is setup for competition-level features. It accepts heavier barrel contours, is more than twice as heavy compared to the LWS, and has such features like a mono-pod built into the rear of the stock.

The Falkor CSS Chassis system is our high-quality, precision,  short action upgrade for your R700 bolt action rifle. This entire system is machined from billet aluminum, compatible with any right-hand short action R700 or clone. We wanted to offer a chassis that gives the customer more and with it’s unique buttstock design, modular handguard and solid billet aluminum construction, the CSS Chassis is perfect for PRC shooters who want an ergonomic and quality chassis with some extra integrated features to get them through the match.

For people who are looking for a drop-in chassis that is nearly complete in every way, this is Falkor Defense’s offering of something just like that. This chassis once again takes all short-action cartridges and is actively available. All of the specs can be read below and brought to you by Falkor:

The MSRP for the Falkor Defense CSS Chassis is benchmarked at $999 which is very respectable. Your two color options in this chassis are either Stealth Grey or FDE (Flat Dark Earth). As always, this chassis accepts all Rem 700 and similar cloned actions.

FALKOR defense CSL CHASSIS system (Competition Sniper Long-Action Chassis System)

For everyone who owns a .300 Win Mag or similar popular long-action cartridge, Falkor Defense has not forgotten about you. The CSL Chassis System is for you folks. This chassis shares a lot of the same traits as the previous competition sniper chassis, but accommodates all of your long-action cartridges. The specs can be read below as presented by Falkor Defense:

• Weight: 4.2 lbs (Chassis, grip, folding stock)
• Length of Pull: 38.5”-39.5” OAL with a 14.5-15.5 LOP
• Modular and ergonomic handguard design allows for a comfortable and firm grip on your rifle
• M-lok compatibility allows for a wide range of attachments
• Stock height at comb and heel – .30” below bore centerline
• Allows for  1.6″ barrel contour or less
• Accepts AICS pattern magazines for both short and long action. (including the AICS AW magazine)
