SHOT Show is an event where manufacturers show off their latest goods, but to Californians many of them are off limits. Standard capacity magazines, drum mags, sub guns, scary black rifles with pistol grips, pistols not on some approved roster, etc. The gun laws suck in the golden state, but California is still a very large market for the firearms industry and every year many companies release California compliant parts and firearms. Below are a few I stumbled upon at SHOT Show 2020.

New California Compliant Firearms and Parts at SHOT Show 2020

The new KRISS Vector in .22lr

A few weeks back the KRISS Vector in .22lr was announced. While on the outside it looks very much like a KRISS Vector, it actually uses a straight direct blowback design instead of their Super V bolt setup. They’ll come with 10 round proprietary magazines for those shipping to California. They’ll also use a 16″ barrel along with a free float M-LOK handguard. Retail price will start at $649.

Rock Island Armory released two new California Compliant versions of their VR80 AR-style Shotguns. One of them has the pistol grip blocked off (seen above) while the other makes use of a fixed magazine to be compliant (seen below). To release the mag you have to pull out the rear take down pin.

XTech Tactical released their “Commufornia” version of their MAG47 magazines. They fit most AK-47s and are limited to 10 rounds, they also use the same stainless steel reinforced feed lips and locking lugs as their standard capacity magazines. They retail for $29.95 over at XTechTactical.com.

One way to make your AR CA compliant is to use a fixed magazine, the only way you are allowed to remove the mag is when the AR is disassembled. Well a few years back we posted about the Patriot Pin, it’s a part you add to your AR-15 lower that allows you to quickly disassemble your AR using your thumb. Well at SHOT Show 2020 they released a version for the AR-10 (the AR-15 version is pictured above). It will retail for $79.99 and be available soon at Patriot-Pin.com.

Juggernaut Tactical makes a bunch of California friendly parts, well this year they released their new Featureless Grip. Another way to make your AR-15 compliant is to remove the evil features, one of them being the pistol grip. The new Juggernaut Tactical Featureless Grip works with the AR-15 and retails for $79 over at jtactical.com.

A few years back we posted about the CompMag for the AR-15, well at SHOT Show 2020 they debuted their version for the AK-47. The CompMag is a fixed magazine with a side loading gate that opens up allowing you to load up to 10 rounds. The CompMag for the AK-47 retails for $64.99 over at CompMag.net.
