Last year, Strike Industries released over 50 new products – that’s one new product per week on average. And looks like in 2020 the mad scientists at the SI R&D department are going to keep that insane rate. Let’s take a look at each of the new and upcoming products that the company brought to SHOT Show 2020.
Sentinel Rifles and Pistols
Strike Industries announced that they have partnered with Rifle Supply to start selling complete rifles and pistols. The SI AR-15 line is called Sentinel and it will initially include three guns: Sentinel Elite AR Rifle, Sentinel AR Rifle, and Sentinel AR Pistol. The Sentinel AR rifles and pistols will come with Strike Viper M-LOK Carbine handguards, 16″ and 10.5″ chrome-moly barrels with a phosphate finish, Strike M4 charging handles and many other SI AR parts. The Elite rifles will feature several upgrades such as the Strikefighter 16″ .223 Wylde nitrided barrels, 15″ Strike Rail M-LOK Handguards, Strike extended latch charging handle, etc.
Scouter Red Dot Sight
The Scouter red dot sight is SI’s own design and their entry into the optics market. From designing to assembly, it is completely made in the USA. The sight’s housing is machined out of 6061-T6 aluminum. The Scouter sight has a 2 MOA dot and 22mm multi-coated lens. The dot has 11 brightness settings. It is powered by a single CR2032 battery with 25,000 hours of battery life on the middle (#5) setting. The dot automatically turns off after 2 hours if no motion is detected. When turned on again, it will be on the same brightness level as before turning off.
80% Glock 19 Frame
This 80% Gen3 Glock 19 frame is designed by Strike Industries and manufactured by Polymer80 for SI. Some of the differences from the original Glock frame are the front and rear thumb shelves, undercut trigger guard, and the grip texture. The internal geometry of the trigger guard is designed to reduce the chances of shooter’s finger getting pinched inbetween the trigger guard and trigger shoe as well as to reduce the overtravel of the trigger.
SIG P320 Grip Module
This futuristic grip module for SIG Sauer P320 pistols is still in development. It converts the handgun to a PDW pattern weapon. The rear portion of this grip module has a bottom QD sling swivel socket, rear Picatinny rail for attaching stocks and braces, and a provision on the top for mounting red dot sights. The company simultaneously develops accessories for this grip module such as the spare magazine holder attached to the Picatinny rail on the dust cover, slide shroud, etc.
Adjustable Scope Mount (ASM)
The Strike Industries Adjustable Scope Mount (ASM) has been released just before the SHOT Show and is available on their website at an MSRP of $129.95. This mount has a two-piece construction that allows adjusting its overall length by sliding the inner part back and forth inside the Picatinny rail clamp and fixing it in the desired position. It is possible to have 4 different mount lengths as shown below.
Watch the below-embedded video to learn how the length of the mount is adjusted.
CZ Scorpion EVO 3 Parts
In 2020 Strike will release a lot of CZ Scorpion EVO 3 parts which you can see on the Scorpion brought to the SHOT Show. The new parts include a pistol grip, ambidextrous magazine release lever, safety selector lever, and muzzle device.
QD Sling Swivel
The new QD sling swivel from Strike Industries is designed to eliminate any possibility of an accidental release. In order to release the swivel from the socket, you need to squeeze the lock tabs from either side.
Last but not least, the AR-15 magazines that were shown earlier, will hit the market in 2020.
Most of the products that Strike Industries brought to SHOT Show are not yet available and some of them are still in the prototyping stage. We’ll make sure to keep our readers updated on the release of each new SI product. Stay tuned!
