Fiocchi, well known for its high-quality ammunition to suit whatever your need, has at SHOT unveiled its newest line of ammo. The Blue Guardian series is designed as defensive and duty ammunition for both civilians and law enforcement.

Fiocchi Announces Blue Guardian Ammunition

Fiocchi’s Blue Guardian series of ammunition will come in one of three varieties. Fiocchi Blue Guardian FR is training ammo. Highly frangible, with lead-free primers, the FR bullets will disintegrate on impact. Cartridge offerings for the FR subseries will include 380, 9mm Luger, 40S&W, 45ACP, 223 Remington in both 45gr and 55gr, and 300BLK.

Also in the series will be Blue Guardian HP. The HP subseries will, of course, be hollow-points, for personal and home protection as well as Law Enforcement. Utilizing a lead-free copper bullet, the HP subseries will critically fragment when hitting soft tissue. In addition, this has the added benefit of drastically reducing overpenetration. This makes the HP series perfect for use as a home defense cartridge. It will be available in 380, 9mm Luger, 40S&W, and 45ACP.

The final subseries will be Blue Guardian SC, which stands for Solid Copper. As the name suggests, SC bullets will all be made from solid copper. The Blue Guardian SC expands (beautifully in my opinion) in soft tissue, creating a massive wound channel. The SC subseries will be offered in 380, 9mm Liger, 40S&W, 45ACP, 223 Remington, 300BLK bot supersonic and subsonic, and 12-gauge slug.

The FR series is currently available. The HP and SC series will be rolling out over the next 6 months according to the Fiocchi representative.
