For SHOT Show 2020 Industry Day at the Range, Franklin Armory brought out their new BFSIII 10/22 Binary Trigger. Binary triggers have been popular for AR shooters for quite some time with Franklin releasing their eight previous binary triggers over the past 5 years. Franklin sure knows how to make a splash (or maybe a plink this time) when it comes to their binary firing systems.

The BFSIII 10/22 binary trigger retains the same functionality as all of the other binary triggers. With safe, semi and binary modes just like all the other models, it brings the 10/22 platform to a whole new level. Whether it is going to be for plinking, group pest control or just plain ole fun people are sure to be excited about this new trigger. The selector is similar to an early M1 Carbine selector switch with the toggle switch. Currently, the trigger will only come in one color, but there are options out there on the market.

I had a chance to shoot the binary trigger at Industry day at the range and then take a closer look at it on the showroom floor to glean some more info. The Binary trigger is extremely easy to use in binary mode and in some ways, it is easier to get the rhythm of your trigger pulls and releases down to get an uninterrupted stream of fire coming out of the barrel. TFB TV correspondent Miles V was able to catch some sweet footage of the new BFSII 10/22 in action.

I had hoped that this would be sold as a trigger pack, however, Franklin was unable to acquire the trigger frames for the Ruger 10/22 in order to make this more akin to a drop-in trigger. Despite this, the parts kits will be available for $299 on the Franklin Armory website. Representatives at the Franklin Armory booth also told me that Official Franklin Armory BFSIII 10/22 installation videos will be available soon to make sure the installation process goes smoothly for end users.
