FIrearms, not politics…Except maybe when politics are engraved on firearms
Stopping by Kahr’s booth to check out new 6-shot cylinder BFR revolvers from Magnum Research, I instead was sidetracked by a few things – a massive, 17.5 inch barrelled .45-70 revolver from Magnum Research’s custom shop, and multiple Trump-themed firearms.
First to the BFR: I thought I would have to heft that bad boy up, but when I lifted it, the balance was actually quite nice. Easy enough that one, in fact, could hold it on target offhand for an extended period of time! The .350 Legend chambered BFR next to it with a 10″ bull barrel almost felt heavier, in fact.
A .45 for #45
Next to catch my eye was a Donald Trump Presidency-themed Thompson. A catalog item with MSRP of $2,553, it has a 14.5″ barrel with Cutts compensator and comes with both a 50 round drum and 20 round stick magazine. The walnut furniture is also engraved with the White House and Donald Trump’s visage. The receiver is black and clear cerakote finished. The Trump-themed firearms kept on coming, with an AR complete with Trump speech engraved grips, and also a Desert Eagle Mark XIX fully engraved in a Trump Presidency theme. There were two more fully engraved desert eagles next to it, all part of an engraving contest that Kahr held. These two were engraved with American iconography and a 3% ‘no step on snake’ theme respectively. Personally, I always find it interesting to see firearms engraving used as a canvas for art and expression. What say you, dear readers? Here are some more photos:
