MAGPUL drums up some new Stocks

At SHOT 2020, Magpul has a few new wares to show off.  First off is their new Hunter Stock for Savage 110 Short actions, both in left and right hand versions.  The stocks are comparable with The PMAG 7.62 AC magazines, and come with one 5 rounder.  The barrel channel can accommodate all the way up to heavy Palma profiles.  An even more exciting stock is their new PC Backpacker Stock for the Ruger PC Carbine.  The show floor model worked very well, and the stock does a fine job of protecting the chamber of the rifle when disassembled.

Speaking of bolt action Pmags, new for this year is 5.56 Pmags compatible with short action AICS bottom metal. They accept COALs up to 2.39″, have a constant internal curve, and offset feed lip geometry.

Two new pistol caliber drums are available.  The first is the D-50 GL-9 PCC, specifically designed to feed PCCs that take 9mm Glock magazines, although it is not designed to feed any 9mm Glock pistols as of yet.  According to Magpul, this is due in part to how heavy magazines interact with the magazine release on Glock pistols. The next new drum is the D-50 EV-9 for the CZ scorpion platform.  Both share the D60’s ratcheting lever design, as well as a round count window in the back.

A pair of Braces here in Vegas

Magpul has released two versions of “large format pistol” braces.  The first is the Magpul BTR, which sounds super cool until you realize its not a Magpul redesigned version of the Soviet APC.  (Which, if Magpul is listening, I would totally buy as a daily driver).  The BTR has a triangle profile, whereas the BSL is a bit more streamlined.  Both braces are adjustable for length and have a rear QD cup.  While they might look somewhat similar to other blade-style braces on the market, I found them far easier to adjust and that they stayed in place far better than other blade braces I have seen.

Magpul also has some new apparel, wallets, and DAKA equipment, check them out in the photos below.

Being such experienced SHOT veterans, Magpul has created an excellent 2020 SHOT show new products page (other companies, take note!).  For more Information on Magpul, head over there.
