    [SHOT 2020] The B&T APC10 10mm Sub Gun

I had a chance to stop by the B&T booth for Industry Day at the Range to see their newest addition to the sub-gun Market. Now in what some argue is the “best millimeter” the B&T APC10 made its way into the B&T booth where I was able to get some trigger time behind this new sub-gun. I spoke to some of the team from B&T to glean a little more information about how this new addition to their line of sub-guns came to fruition just in time for SHOT Show 2020.

Set up similar to the APC Pro series chambered in 9x19mm, .40 and .45 ACP. The APC10 features a non-reciprocating charging handle and will ship with 10mm Glock magazines and will accept Glock pattern magazines. Don’t get your wallet out quite yet though, the APC10 was submitted to the ATF last year and B&T only received approval just before SHOT Show 2020. The gun that was brought to Industry Day at the Range featured a fast prototyped (3D Printed) lower.

The APC10 also features the same straight blowback system with a hydraulic buffer to help mitigate felt recoil. When I was able to get my hands on the APC10 I was quite impressed with how soft shooting it was. The recoil was extremely controllable and I can see how hotter defensive 10mm handgun loads could be extremely effective. Although the prototype lower is made from 3D printed plastic, I experienced no malfunctions during the demo.

B&T hopes to have the first civilian pistol models to the US market by April of 2020. As far as pricing goes, the new 10mm sub-gun from B&T should only be priced at about $100 or so more than the other Pro Series models according to the B&T representatives I spoke to during Industry Day at the Range.
