Industry Day at the RangeAnnounces Inaugural First Shotwith Dakota Meyer at 2020 Event

LAS VEGAS, N.V. – January 17, 2020 Industry Day at the Range is pleased to announce its inaugural First Shot to open up the 2020 media event. First Shot was created to provide one individual the honor of firing the first shot to kick off Industry Day at the Range and the official start of SHOT Show. This year, Industry Day at the Range welcomes Dakota Meyer, the first living United States Marine in 41 years to receive the Medal of Honor, to participate in the brand-new event.

The Industry Day at the Range First Shot will be hosted by sponsor The Firearm Blog (TFB) at bay SR-5. Meyer will fire the opening shot with the newly introduced GLOCK® 44 (G44), and Industry Day at the Range will commemorate the event by donating $1,000 to the Boot Campaign. At Boot Campaign, their mission is to connect the more than 99% who have not served with the less than 1% who have by igniting the inner patriot in all Americans and providing life-improving programs for veterans and military families.

“Dakota Meyer has an exciting year ahead as he launches a new membership community (Own the Dash) that helps people discover purpose and take ownership of their lives,” said Kelsey Puryear, Industry Day at the Range Manger. “And we couldn’t think of a better person to fire the first shot at this year’s range day. Dakota has a contagious enthusiasm, drive and outlook on life that we’re excited to bring to attendees this year.”

Attendees of Industry Day at the Range will have the opportunity to visit the Own the Dash exhibit, DA-6 to learn more about this exciting community.
