Taurus Delivers T4 Rifles to Local Georgia Agencies

Earlier this month Taurus opened their new headquarters and factory facility in Bainbridge Georgia. To celebrate and assist their new community Taurus have gifted nearly 40 of their T4 mil-spec rifles to the Bainbridge Public Safety Department and the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department.

The T4, an M4 clone, isn’t currently available from Taurus USA, although semi-auto versions of the rifles were unveiled back at SHOT 2017, and the rifles are currently produced in Brazil. This gifting of rifles to local agencies might suggest that the T4, produced or assembled in Bainbridge, will eventually be available on the US market.

Here’s a Brazilian promo video for the T4:

Here’s Taurus’ statement on the gift:

Taurus®, which recently opened its new operations facility in Bainbridge Georgia, delivered the City of Bainbridge Public Safety Department and the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, with 37 Taurus T4 defense rifles to assist in protecting the community.

Taurus CEO David Blenker transferred the T4 rifles to City of Bainbridge Public Safety Department Director Jerry Carter and Captain David Cutchin as well as the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office to Captain Brad Lambert, Deputy Victor Strickland and John Presilla. These special-purpose law enforcement rifles will be deployed for tactical and emergency response operations by the City and Sheriff department.

“As new members of the Bainbridge community,” said David Blenker, “and with Taurus being a key manufacturer in the personal and professional defense segments, supplying the City of Bainbridge Public Safety Department and the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office with specialized tools needed to protect the community and its citizens seemed obvious. Law enforcement professionals here and around the country put their lives on the line every day, and it is an honor for us to provide our local defenders with this contribution.”
