Ulfhednar goes Berserk with new DOPE

“The Ulfhednar (pronounced Ulf-heth-nar) were a group of Viking warriors. They wore wolf skin, and their own skin was black-died. Like the Berserkers, they preformed chants and ritual prior to battle to get in a “Berserker Rage”. Through adrenaline they became much stronger and faster, became immune to pain, and bled less.”  Snorre Sturlason “Ynglinga Saga”

You could say this is our first article about anything produced by the Norwegian company Ulfhednar, apart from a small mentioning on the subject of cooling barrels.

As I’m currently evaluating a few of their products it’s likely you’ll read more about them in the future, and they seem to push out new interesting products now and then. The focus is on long-range precision shooting and hunting, and I visited their stand at IWA in Germany earlier this year.

Today we’re going to take a look at their new UH355 Bubble Level and DOPE cardholder.

If you’re not familiar with what this is, you can check TFB’s recent article: Know Your Scope to Know Your D.O.P.E.

The product is made by Vision & Design and Made in Norway.

The material is 7075 aluminium, which has been hard anodized matte black. There is a high-visibility blue bubble level and the attachment screws are stainless A4.

The product pictured is Cerakoted in “Tungsten”.

This product will be available in stores by the end of January.

    And Ulfhednar’s.

    About Ulfhednar

We are developing equipment, clothing and weapons parts for hunting, long range and shooting sports in general. We are the largest supplier for shooting sports in Norway. Our relatively harsh Arctic climate makes us set extremely strict requirements for the materials used in our products.

Hunting, outdoor activities and shooting sports stands strong among the Norwegians. Our users requires high quality equipment and good workability. Cold winters, wet falls and hot summers require a special set of equipment.

Personally, I would have liked a version that attaches to the Spuhr interface directly, although Picatinny will be more common for everyone. I am currently using and evaluating the Hawk Hill Custom Rifle Mounted Data-Holder. Expensive, but it seems to work in every way.

If you want to be the coolest guy at the range you should get the Heads-Up Display for the Kestrel Ballistics Meters instead, but you better get all hits.

For a list of Ulf Hednar’s dealers internationally you can check here. They have three dealers in the USA.

I wish I could tell you the price, but I don’t think it has been set yet.
