The soldiers are exercising an air assault and attack upon an objective during Iron Sword 19 in Kilkis, Greece, in November, 2019.

Exercise Iron Sword is a joint training exercise between elements from 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment; 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment; and the 71st Air Mobile Brigade taking place at the Urban Warfare National Training Center in Kilkis, Greece.

The exercise is designed to strengthen interoperability between Greek and U.S. forces and demonstrate the 173rd’s commitment to its NATO allies.
