Wilson Combat has released a new line of 1911 pistols called American Combat Pistol (ACP). The idea behind this new series is to offer the same top-notch Wilson Combat quality at a more affordable price point. How is that possible? The company reduced the number of options that the customers can select thus making the manufacturing of ACP pistols a faster and more streamlined process. Particularly, the options are limited to finish, sights and grip color choice.

Wilson Combat ACP pistols are available in three sizes – Full Size (5″ barrel), Commander (4.25″ barrel) and Compact (4″ barrel). The pistols are chambered in .45 ACP or 9x19mm. Introduced with the American Combat Pistol series is also the new Eagle Claw texture which looks like oversized serrations and can be seen everywhere on these pistols – on the slide, front strap, mainspring housing, and grips.

Other than the Eagle Claw, all other features of ACP pistols are those we normally see on most of the company’s handguns. These features include the hand-fitted carbon steel frames and slides, flush cut stainless steel barrels, G10 grips, Armor Tuff finish as well as Bullet Proof machined beavertail grip safeties, magazine release buttons and thumb safeties. The trigger pull of ACP pistols is 3.5-4.5 lbs. The base prices are identical for all sizes – $2,495 for the .45 ACP pistols and $2,595 for the 9mm ones. Below you can find the tech specs for each size option of Wilson Combat ACP series pistols.
